Virat Kohli, Five Test Center Video: Team India has won the first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy being played these days. Now the second match of the trophy is to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi from Friday, February 17. At the same time, discussions about the third match to be played after this are intense. The third match was earlier scheduled in Dharamshala. But now, due to the ground not being fully prepared, it has been shifted to Holkar Stadium in Indore.
Meanwhile, a video of former team captain Virat Kohli is becoming increasingly viral, in which he is seen talking about only five test venues. This video of Kohli is from 2019, when he was the captain of Team India. In this video, he is seen talking especially about Test cricket.
Kohli had given advice earlier
In this video, Kohli is seen saying, “I have been discussing this for a long time that in my opinion there should be only five test centers (test venues). I understand that giving state rotation and game, all this is fine for T20 International and ODI cricket. But Test cricket, teams visiting India should know that we will play at these five venues. Such pitches will be there, such people will come to watch the matches.
Maximum five test centers required
He further added, “It already becomes a challenge when you are leaving your shores because any venue we go to, we know that we will play four Test matches in these venues and the pitch here. What will you offer? It will be a full stadium. Look, if you want to keep Test cricket alive and vibrant, I fully agree with the fact that we need a maximum of five Test centres.”
